Hello there, everyone. The Princess Academy  is a resplendent book (I had to do a Google search for synonyms of "great" to get that) about a young girl named Miri who lives atop Mount Eskel, a mountain in the fantastical kingdom of Danland with her sister, Marda and her father. She has a quiet life though she would readily trade it for an adventurous one, forbidden to go into the quarry and mine Linder, a precious stone that lays only in Mount Eskel (though why that is she does not know). but then the people of Mount Eskel receive word that the priests in Asland, the capital of Danland, have decided the next heir to the throne will be from Mount Eskel, which was going to become the newest province to Danland. All girls under 17 are sent to a Princess Academy to learn everything a princess needs to know, from Poise and Etiquette to the Art of Conversation. This might sound like a pink, frilly "princess" book, but it is not. follow Miri to see who the next princess of Danland will be. I suggest these books:

  • The Girl Who Could Fly (by: Victoria Forester)
